My Favorite

I guess you would have to say my favorite person is my wife, Kelly; which is as it should be.

The longest we have been apart actually happened the summer after we were married.

I sent her to the Stamps-Baxter School of Music. This is a Southern Gospel training school that lasts three weeks.

I was a mess I guess you could say. I left my business mentor  long maudlin messages and just kinda droned on.

Since then we have been apart for a week at time for me to travel to conferences but nothing link that. It wasn’t fun!

I guess I should have went down and visited on the weekend but I did my best to tough it out. I made it.

I know that three weeks doesn’t seem like much especially when military families are apart for a year or more at a time.

In the comments write about you longest time apart from your favorite person.

  1. Oh I love you Douglas! You are my favorite too. An yes you were a mess those three weeks. We won’t do that again, at least without a plan for you to go as well.

  2. The longest the love of my life, my late wife, Linda and I were ever apart during the 40 and 1/2 years we were married at the time she went home to glory was only 2 or 3 nights at a time and then only 3 or 4 times at the most when I was away for work a couple of times & when she was away a couple of times travelling with a friend..
